Science and Engineering Fun Day (SEFD) at the 3D Motion Capture Lab on July 26 & 27 2007

[Photos] [Video]

A group of high school students visited our Motion Capture Lab during the Science and Engineering Fun Day on July 26 & July 27, 2007. We presented the motion capture technologies that were used for animation movie production and then let the students try out the system. We have divided the group into 2 teams each day and asked each team to come up with an idea to capture a motion clip with the "fighting" theme. There is a director in each team giving instructions to the actors about what motions to perform. The two actors wearing tight suits with sensors performed the motions to be captured with the assistance of other team-mates.
