Demo to Visitors from Yan Chai Hospital Lim Por Yen Secondary School
Some teachers and students from Yan Chai Hospital Lim Por Yen Secondary School visited us at our Cross Media Lab, 5/F, Run Run Shaw Creative Media Centre on 8 August 2013. We demonstrated our projects on behalf of the AIMtech Centre directed by Prof. Horace Ip. Dr. Howard Leung first showed a magic performance to illustrate how a webpage can be made more interactive. Then he introduced the motion capture technology by showing the Dance Education System project which has won a couple of awards by the student and interviewed by a number of newspapers, magazine and TV. He briefly introduced other projects on Kinect and brain computer interface. In addition, Kate presented their Interactive Sensory Program for Affective Learning (InSPAL) to illustrate various 3D virtual environments in which the user can navigate through the environment or interact with the virtual objects using Kinect.
